Baron is 15 weeks today. It is a good thing we have this blog because I honestly had to look back to last week just to figure out if he was 15 or 16 weeks. The most significant change I see in this picture is the small amount of hair showing up on the top of his head. Yeah for hair! I am looking forward to the day I can spike it to match his dad's hair.

3 Month Professional Photo
Today was a much better day for Baron. He was almost at 100% happy go lucky Baron! We didn't get any photo's of him today but we did get to pick up his 3 month professional photo's today. It's hard to take a picture of a picture but we wanted to share it with everyone. We wanted to get a picture with him in his Holstein print diaper. The photographer wanted to turn him into a little cowboy and we thought it turned out pretty cute!

Thanks Grandma Weber!
Baron did not want to say goodbye today to his Grandma and Grandpa (well maybe it was his mom who didn't want to say goodbye). It was so nice to have Grandma's help for 2 days and then to have Grandpa join us on Saturday. This morning Baron was extremely talkative and has started telling us very "serious" stories. He wrinkles his forehead and takes a big breath - then out comes the long story. We are also starting to hear a couple of "da" noises, but nothing official! Thanks again Grandma for the wonderful visit and all of your love!

The bib says it all!
Baron had a full day with his Grandma Weber today while we were at work. Carla is on a vacation and mom/Grandma was nice enough to come and watch Baron for 2 days. They had alot of fun today.
Baron is also 14 weeks old today. We took the official picture and Baron decided he would grab the cougar and hug him. He must be sharing some of the love he received today from Grandma!

Laughing Little Man
For about a week Nate and I have been pulling out every trick we know to try and make Baron giggle again. Nothing worked until Grandma Weber showed up today. Grandma sat down next to Baron and when she started talking to him he got a serious case of the giggles!

Long Day
Well the day is over. It was a long one that ended in a traffic jam. Nate was stuck on the bus for 2 hours and I was an hour late to pick up Baron. Thankfully Carla is very understanding. Nate took this picture of me feeding Baron. I think we both look tired! Hopefully we get a good nights rest because Grandma Weber comes tomorrow and deserves a happy grandson after that long drive!

Mini Nathan
I'll be quick tonight because the best part is the video, but I wanted to post the picture I took this morning of Baron. It was 80 degrees + here today so Baron was in cargo shorts and a WSU shirt which is EXACTLY what his dad wears every single weekend! The picture is a little blury, but I just received a lesson on the new camera from Nate so it shouldn't happen again :)
Don't forget to scroll down and watch the video!
Bonus Night!
Everyday Baron is making some new noise out of his mouth. Today he was a giggling machine when Vanessa would tickle. Then the video camera comes out and he decides he has had enough and stops showing off. We did capture a two minute video that he is really talking a lot in. Turn the volume up loud and enjoy!

Productive Weekend
Today we decided to take Baron to church. Although he has never been to church with his Grandpa Weber, he sure knew how to sit real still with his eyes closed while he listened just like his Grandpa! ;)
It was a beautiful weekend full of sunshine and good family memories.

Play Time
I was so excited to get home today and get Baron in my arms (it has been a long week). However, Baron isn't much of a cuddle bug unless he is really tired. Instead he wants to be entertained.
Today Baron is 13 weeks old. I am not sure when we will stop counting weeks and just go by months, but for now it is still important to us. We didn't take the standard picture today with the Cougar and COUG football because we ran out of energy. Baron has been playing really hard lately, but then he crashes just as hard! So we'll probably do that picture tomorrow night.

Giggles!
This picture sums up Baron's day. It started in the "burrito baby" with a great big smile at 6am and ended tonight at 8pm with "burrito baby" and smiles! His daily report said he was a happy camper. It also said that Carla's son, Shawn, who is 6 years old "has taken a liking to Baron and is now asking for a baby brother!" (Carla is our daycare provider in case I haven't mentioned that in earlier posts). We are just happy that Baron is making friends at daycare.
The most exciting news about today is that Baron laughed for the first time today!! Nate was holding him in the kitchen and Baron was sticking his tongue out. I started copying Baron and making silly noises and we heard a small laugh. We were contemplating if it was a true giggle or not and then all of the sudden it was a big laugh! It was a family memory I think we will always remember. I am just so happy it happened when we were all together.

Easter Weekend!
We spent Easter weekend with the Holstein family in Maple Valley. Baron had a good weekend. He enjoyed playing with his Aunt Alyson, being fed and burped by grandma Lynn and hanging out and smiling at Big Fred!
Easter was very simple. The Easter Bunny came and left Baron his first Easter basket. His favorite item in the basket was a bear dressed as a bunny. He was holding onto it and licking it which is Baron's way of showing his affection. The Maple Valley Easter bunny brought him the cutest WSU Cougar overalls! I'm sure
the blog will have pictures of Baron wearing them soon. We took a couple of family pictures, but not too many because Baron decided he was finished! And now we are home relaxing before another busy week begins.

I'm Not Perfect Everyday
You win some days with a perfect calm baby and you lose others! Today was one of losing days and our daycare provider would agree with that. Her comments on Baron's daily report said, "Baron had some fussy points throughout the day." By the time we got him kind of calmed down for his 12 week picture, he decided it was time again for one of those fussy moments which just makes this picture perfect for how his day went.
Its amazing that our little boy is already 12 weeks and to think 12 weeks ago we were just staring at him in amazement. Its been an amazing 12 weeks for us and we wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

Baby COUG!
This morning I learned from Carla that the extra clothes in Baron's diaper bag no longer fit him (oops). I think a certain part of me wants to keep him in 0-3 month clothes so he is still my tiny baby :) So tonight I packed up his tiny clothes in a plastic storage container to save for our next baby (yes - we will be doing this again...and maybe even 2 more times). However there is one outfit I had to put in my hope chest and almost mourn the fact that he is no longer my tiny tiny baby. So here is a picture of the outfit and little bootie socks on Baron when he was 1 day old.
Funny though - I guess I can't be too sad because he has this exact onsie in the next size up so don't be alarmed if you see a picture of him in it!! And if Nathan has his way - he'll have this onsie in everysize until it says "Cougar Alumni."

Live & Learn
Everyday is a learning and growing experience. Tonight Baron learned how to hold a rattle of his. He waved it around, put it in his mouth, used it to do bicep curls and also as a pretend microphone. He looked like such a big boy playing with it.
Since our weather has been in the low 70's for the past 3 days Nate and I decided to take the fuzzy insert out of Baron's car seat so he wouldn't get too warm. Apparently we should have done this weeks ago because now he smiles in his car seat instead of screaming! He'll even sit in it after we get home for a few minutes. So here is a picture of our lesson and the happy result!

Relaxing
This picture is actually from last night, but I had to share it. After the long day outside with lots of stimulation, Baron just wanted to hang out in his diaper on the couch with his fist. He was very content and it was a good way to unwind before bedtime.
Although this picture doesn't show it, Baron is really exploring his vocal cords lately. He only has a couple of tones and noises that come out, but he is getting louder and louder! And just like he concentrates on his fist before it goes in his mouth, he concentrates very hard until his new loud noises come out. Nate and I love to sit and "chat" with him.

Spring!
Spring is on its way and we couldn't be happier. We spent 75% of today outside. Baron spent the first part of the day in the Baby Bjorn while we waxed the pathfinder. He falls asleep everytime Nate has him in it. Later we were out in the yard admiring the signs of spring. Our flowering cherry tree is beautiful right now. While I was playing with the camera and taking lots of pictures I realized I didn't have any sunscreen on Baron and it was 73 degrees today. OOPS! He isn't sun burnt, but I sure would have felt bad if he was. Everyday I think we've come a long ways since the beginning, but it seems that daily I am reminded I still have alot to learn (and remember)!!

Silly Silly Silly
We are a little goofy at the Holstein house and doing this blog is exposing some of our true colors! Somehow Nate came up with the idea to put the green fuzzy blanket on Baron's head like a wig. We were laughing so hard, but Baron wasn't as impressed. Later Baron decided to show us this tongue trick right after Nate said "Why didn't you help daddy wash the car today? You need some chores!" And the picture shows Baron's response!
It was a beautiful spring day today and although the pictures don't show it we were able to spend most of the day outside. Boy did it feel good!

Miles of Smiles
Well it's the end of a big week for the Holstein Family. Baron's report from Carla said "Baron had another really good day. He only fussed when he was hungry or tired. We had lots of smiles and cooing from him today." And I believe it because when he woke up he was smiling and he was still smiling when I left him in Carla's arms. And the best part is he still had smiles for us tonight! This is a series of pictures because Baron loves this fuzzy blanket and it tickles him. I can't wait for the day I actually hear him giggle - which I believe is right around the corner!

Day 1
Just when we get into a routine something changes, but I've heard sayings about how change builds character. Today we had BIG changes
to our routine. I went back to work and Baron spent his first day with Carla, his new daycare provider. It was rough on both of us, but we survived. I just can't express how good it felt to be home at the end of the day with my sleeping baby in my arms! Eventually this will be our new routine and something else with change. Whatever that change is - I hope it is a good one.
Troubles
We tried last night to upload a new video but it was just not working. We will try later this evening and might even get a couple of blogs posted!
Today is the 1st day back to work for Vanessa and Baron's first day of daycare. It was a sad morning in the Holstein house for everyone. Everyone will make it through the day and when we get home there will be a big blue eyed baby smiling and talking up a storm!!!
