Oh the places we go!

We had a weekend FILLED with fun! This is a long one....
On Friday I packed up the car with just about everything we own including Gus and Baron and we picked up Nate after work. We drove to Quincy and Baron did pretty well. However, he decided that once we arrived to Grandma and Grandpa's house he wanted to PARTY until 11pm. The next day we had a yard sale at Grandma Weber's (my grandma) and we were there all day. My cousin Brent stopped by with his wife Deidra and their son Caiden. It was so cute to watch Baron and him play together and to be able to share parenting stories with Brent and Deidra. They rolled all over the floor and shared toys. Caiden is three months older then Baron. I want to find a picture I have of Brent and myself because Brent is only 2 months older than I am.

On Sunday we got off to a slower start. Baron hung out with Grandpa in his recliner.
Later that morning we went to church. We didn't actually make it to the service, but we met up with the Hooyer's and Becker's to get Baron and Calvin together again.
Calvin and Baron are exactly 1 week apart. I think Calvin is teething because he did not want to take his hands out of his mouth. He is such a cutie! Now if only we lived closer so we could have actual play dates...
Here is one of the highlights of our trip! Baron went cherry picking for the first time! I LOVE cherries and I was so excited to get out to the orchard to get some. We let Baron play with the cherries on the tree and he even sucked on one. He likes cherries just like his mama! He even figured out how to pick one on his own. This particular orchard was damaged in a hail storm so we were able to pick as many as we wanted. There were so many on the trees that they were hanging like grapes. Mmmmm...so good!
It didn't take long to get a few boxes of cherries so afterwards we met up with Sara and Todd and went down to Sunland to go swimming. It was Baron's first time in a big pool and he loved it! His little legs were kicking the entire time and he was splashing and smiling. We didn't get any pictures in the big pool, but here is one from the wading pool which he also liked.
Later that evening Sara, Todd, Nate and myself spent some time on the river and Baron went with my mom and dad (we heard later that they had a GREAT time visiting friends and eating apple sauce). When we finally got back to mom and dad's house Baron was still awake and he wanted to party again! In fact, he tried to convince Todd that he was old enough to really party :) It was another late night for him, but he sure enjoyed himself.
After a good nights rest we woke up to a beautiful Monday morning. Grandpa showed Baron the potato field. As time goes on Baron will realize how much fun it is to go to the farm and play in the dirt, but for now he is just trying to take it all in.

Bye Bye Grandma and Grandpa! Thanks for letting us come and play (and eat cherries!). We love you.

Cherries are my favorite also, if I had a choice of fruit it would be the first one. What a beautiful trip and lots of fun. I love all of the pictures.
