Summer nights
Our deck is our second living room in the summer. I love it. Tonight we had dinner outside while Baron crawled around and played. Then Baron decided he needed a drink.
Enough with the glass - Baron was looking for something new and exciting on our table...

FINALLY!
Finally - we were able to meet Clinton. It felt like we had been waiting for sooooo long. Sara's pregnancy was shorter than mine, but it felt much longer. Perhaps it was because they decided to wait until his arrival to find out if he was a boy or girl...or maybe it was just because I don't see her daily. Whatever the reason was - I am just glad the waiting is over.
It was such a nice weekend. Sara is doing great and Clinton is a beautiful baby with LOTS of hair. He is so tiny and so sweet. I already miss him. Here are a few pictures that we took while visiting the family.
Baron meeting Clinton. Can you imagine the trouble these two may get into in the years to come?!!

Laughing off an old panic attack...
Today I was boxing up old baby clothes to go up in the attic and came across a piece that made me laugh. Back in December when I was VERY pregnant and wishing and hoping for Baron to come early, I had a small freak-out. I decided one day that we didn't have any warm clothes for a new baby (I must have forgotten we have a heater in our house). I was also sure that I was having a 10lb baby. So I drove to the Hannah Andersson outlet in search of warm clothing for our newborn. Here is one of the items I purchased during that day for our newborn.
It is still too big for our 7 month old who is 20lbs! So what does this prove? Perhaps I was in a state of panic or perhaps this just proves that we (I) had NO IDEA what a newborn and all that becoming a parent involves. At the very least, it proves that I am a planner and I planned ahead so Baron would be warm THIS winter!

Over the edge
For the record - he started army crawling. It mainly started yesterday, but today it really clicked. I realized that if he really wants the object he'll move, but if he doesn't really want it he will just lay there and whine.

Aghhh...Friday
I didn't pull out the camera today. I was too busy crawling all over our house to encourage Baron to crawl. He sure thought it was funny. He is getting the hang of the army crawl slowly, but surely. When he is older I will tell him how I put his bottle out in front of him for motivation and it worked! Speaking of bottles - Baron is eating like a horse! Today he ate 38 oz of formula, 1/2 container of sweet peas, 1/2 container of sweet potatoes and 1 full container of a oatmeal cereal/prune/applesauce mixture. So here is a picture from yesterday. We (technically me) put together this cool foam alphabet puzzle outside on the deck that we got at a yard sale last weekend. Lucy for us - it still had all of its pieces.

Trying to communicate
Baron is in a difficult stage right now. He knows what he wants, but he can't communicate it to me. To top it off, he can not move to what he wants so he stares at it until I figure it out. At least he speaks with his eyes. Today it took me a very long time to figure out that he was interested in this...

Where was my camera?
Today was a big day for all of us. Mom, Dad, Nate, Baron and I went to yard sales all morning. Mom must bring good yardsale Karma with her because we had a few great finds! After the yard sales and a long nap we got dressed up and went to Dena & Chris' wedding. We had a great time. It was a beautiful event and the cake was *AMAZING.* Since I love to bake and someday would like to learn more about cake decorating, I always take note of the cake. It was beautiful and tasted even better than it looked. In my experience (no offense to anyone) the cake usually does not taste as good as it looks. However, this cake was GOOD! Is it obvious how much I like cake?! I can't believe I didn't have my camera with me...

Buttons and Toes
We spend so much time tickling Baron just to hear him laugh. Today he decided to tickle grandma's toes because he like to listen to her laugh. He thought it as soooo funny!

Puppy Love
I have to do two posts for today because this was too funny to leave out.
I love summer mornings on the farm. We are usually up early in the morning and we sit outside drinking coffee and visiting. This morning as we were chatting and Baron and Nate were playing on a blanket, all three of the dogs (Gretel, Loretta and Gus) were running around the yard and potato field. In a blink of an eye, Loretta ran up and kissed Baron and this is the result! .JPG)
Surprise Party
Today was a surprise party for Baron's Grandma & Grandpa Weber. Susie, Sara and I decided that we needed to have a party to celebrate our parents 60th birthdays and their 40th wedding anniversary. They had friends and family travel from near and far to celebrate with them. It was a wonderful party and they were VERY surprised!

Buddies
Baron and I went to see Heather and Espen today before Baron's doctor appointment. Let's just say I am happy he was able to have some fun before those awful shots! It seems to get worse as he gets older.
Baron loves playing with Espen especially because Espen loves playing with Baron. I picture these boys finding some serious mischief in the years to come, but for now I am enjoying their sweet smiles..JPG)

More Family Reunion
I didn't take any pictures today so I thought I would post a few more of Baron meeting his extended family.
First we have Baron with Great Aunt Germain (this is Baron's Great Great Aunt Germain). I am so glad he was able to meet her so he could thank her in person for the beautiful afghan she made him!.JPG)
This is Baron with his cousin Courtney. He was loving all of the attention. I am so surprised (and disappointed) that I didn't get a picture of Baron with Aunt Mary because he was eating up all of the attention that she gave him! .JPG)
Aunt Alyson is definitely not new to Baron, but I loved this pictures so on the blog it goes!

Bedtime
This is Baron and mommy right before bed. This is part of the nightly routine, but tonight Baron and I were more tired than normal. First of all we are still trying to recover from the hectic 5 days in Maple Valley. In addition we started swimming lessons today. Baron had a BLAST! His teacher is excited because he loves to splash and doesn't mind when he spashes his own face. We also had the baby/mama class today so it seemed like we were going strong all day long. After a busy day, bedtime is even more exciting than normal! On a side note - I spy a place we missed while baby proofing - oops...

Family Reunion
Today was a WONDERFUL day. We relaxed (kind of)! Lynn planned a family reunion for all of the Aunts, Uncles and cousins that traveled to Maple Valley for the wedding. We spent the day at the lake and in the yard playing games.
Baron confirmed his love for the water...
He enjoyed splashing.

Did I mention he LOVES splashing??!!

Splashing = tired boy! He slept in my arms and then for a short time on the pool air mattress.
The rest of the day (for Baron) was spent back at the house napping because he was still worn out from the day before. He took a four hour nap and then came back out to end his night playing with his Great Grandpa and Grandma.

Isn't he handsome? I think he looks like his Grandpa Ken. We can't wait to meet him!
